いまだに(未だに) is one word. 副詞

未だに is parsed into 未だ and に.

いまだに = even now
いまどき = in this age (contributor: dc)

ex #3747 is a little off. The word 直る actually means to be fixed or
repaired. 治る is to heal. They have the same pronounciation (なおる) but
the kanji have different meanings. (contributor: CWebb)

just wondering, but how formal is this? Would you use this in everyday
speech, or formal speech, or writing only?

〜が最後 (〜gasaigo) - Once someone starts something, the person can't
stop it.

Once someone starts something, the person can't stop it.

Notes: Easily confused with ~kiri, but the meanings are completely
different and ga saigo doesn't mean 'for the last time'. Always used
with past tense verbs.

食べ出したが最後、おいしくて止められなかった
It was so delicious that once I started eating, I couldn't stop.

見つかったが最後、真珠は取上げられてしまいますぞ。
Whoever finds us will take the pearl.

入ったが最後、二度と出てこられなくなるトイレ
Such a restroom that once you enter in it, you wont ever want to come out.

なりに (narini) - in one's own way, one's own style

私は私なりに人生観を持っています。
I have my own outlook on life.

動物は動物なりのコミュニケーションが出来る
Animals have their own way of communicating

子供は子供なりに自分の世界を持っているものだ
Kids have kids own world

そうなら、それなりにやってみてください。
If that is so, then try to do it accordingly (in line with that).

言うなりになる。
End up according to (as) what one has been told.

あの国では、私は外国人だったのでそれなりに扱われた。
In that country I was a foreigner and was treated as such.

このプッシュホンもそれなりに役に立つのが分かった。
This push-button phone turned out to be useful in its way.

すべての幸福な家庭という物はお互いに似通っているが、不幸な家庭という物はそれぞれそれなりに違った不幸があるものだ。
All happy families resemble each other, each unhappy family is unhappy in

なりに does not always mean 'one's own way' as shown by my example.
(contributor: bamboo4)

なり could mean 'accroding to' as shown in my examples, and it also could
mean 'even though not entirely satisfactory, but corresponding to the
capability that one has' that could be equal to 'one's own way' in a broad
sense. However, don't forget that there is this modesty that is at the root
of なりに.

ex# 3611 人となり is one word. (contributor: Miki)

>miki ↑ which one word? 人となり you mean one 字 ?
or as spoken it is a set phrase? (contributor: dc)

I think Miki is referring to the fact that 人となり in the sense it is used
in #3611 is a single word - also written 為人, meaning 'inborn character' -
rather than an example of the なりに phrase. (contributor: srobertson)
